Introduction
MDP is ArtCenter’s master program in interaction design. Around me, classmates were creating incredibly imaginative and innovative work, yet our previous end-of-term showcases felt relatively improvised—short displays in a public hallway, with everyone standing in the same small area and very little sense of connection between projects.
My teammate and I felt strongly that our program deserved a more intentional and systematic branding approach: one that could reflect our innovative spirit, create a stronger sense of connection among students, and build a more playful environment for sharing work. The goal was to create a unified visual identity system that reflected the program’s experimental and interdisciplinary spirit.

Deployment

Personal Learning
Communicating across departments
Learned how to work with multiple school departments, explain our needs clearly, and negotiate for practical support like budget, permissions, and equipment.
Managing a large event
Figured out how to break a big event into small, clear tasks and coordinate teammates so things didn’t fall apart last minute.
On-site exhibition setup
Gained hands-on experience setting up the physical space—adjusting layout, lighting, and signage on the spot to make the environment feel cohesive and playful.
